Focus
Optima’s primary business is the design and manufacture of weaving machines for composite applications.
We offer a range of 3D shuttle machines, high speed shuttle machines and rapier machines, which can be utilised with either dobby or jacquard shedding equipment.
All machines can be adapted to meet customer specifications, allowing the production of an extensive range of composite applications, from raw materials including carbon, glass, ceramic & organic fibres.
Technology
Optima machines embrace cutting-edge digital technology, deployed in concept and execution.
The sophisticated software programme forms a digital platform for the control of cutting-edge servo drive systems at the heart of Optima’s weaving machines. The digital platform enables communication with external production analysis systems, digital archiving which ensures repeatability of weave pattern & machine setting data, including remote online access for service and software upgrading.
R&D
Optima offer a comprehensive Research & Development service.
We can design & develop bespoke “BOLT-ON” equipment such as post weave fabric contour formers and shape mandrills.
We have a dedicated in-house 3D weave demonstration & development machine, which gives our customers the opportunity to discuss their projects in a practical environment.
